INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
1. Purpose
Outlink is committed to respecting and protecting intellectual property (IP) rights. This policy outlines the responsibilities of advertisers, publishers, and Outlink in ensuring that all content submitted, published, or distributed through the platform is properly authorized and does not infringe on third-party rights.
2. General Policy
Advertisers must own, control, or have the legal right to use all content they submit to the Outlink platform.
Content includes (but is not limited to): text, articles, graphics, images, videos, audio, logos, trademarks, brand names, and promotional materials.
Outlink reserves the right to remove or suspend campaigns that violate this policy and may take further enforcement actions, including account suspension or banning.
3. Advertiser Responsibilities
By submitting content on Outlink, advertisers represent and warrant that:
They are the rightful owner or licensee of the content, or otherwise have explicit permission to use it, and they give Outlink and the Publisher a licence to use and distribute said IP and content in perpetuity.
The content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, design rights, or trade secrets.
Any third-party material included in the content (e.g., images, music, clips, brand names) has been properly licensed or authorized.
They will provide documentation or proof of ownership/licensing upon request by Outlink or a publisher.
4. Outlink’s Role and Enforcement
While Outlink does not pre-screen all content, we take proactive and responsive measures to protect intellectual property:
Automated checks: Outlink may use tools to identify potentially infringing or plagiarized content.
Human review: Outlink investigates flagged or disputed content for possible IP violations.
Notice-and-takedown: Outlink follows a process to remove content promptly if we receive credible complaints of infringement.
Repeat offenders: Accounts that repeatedly violate IP rights may be suspended or permanently banned.
5. Reporting IP Infringement
Outlink respects Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) standards and similar frameworks globally. Rights holders may report suspected infringement by contacting [email protected]. Reports must include:
Identification of the copyrighted work or IP allegedly infringed
Details of the infringing content and where it appears on Outlink
Proof of ownership or authorization
Contact details of the claimant
Outlink will promptly investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension of campaigns, removal of content, and notification of involved parties.
6. Record Keeping
Outlink retains records of advertiser content submissions, approvals, and takedown requests for a maximum of 10 years in line with compliance requirements.
7. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required by changes in law, regulatory requirements, or platform practices.
